• Which animals do you specialize in treating?

  We specialize in treating cattle, sheep, pigs, alpacas and goats.

• What can I expect at a farm animal appointment?

  When we examine your large animal during a routine exam at our veterinary hospital, we will check in on your animal's overall health and wellbeing. In addition to the physical exam, we will also recommend any appropriate preventive care.

  We will take time to answer questions you may have about your animals to help ensure their health and longevity.

• Do you make farm calls?

  Absolutely. We have access to 3 mobile veterinary units that we use for farm calls, herd vaccinations, and emergency services for existing clients.

• Can you assist with reproductive health needs?

  Yes. Our vets are trained in identifying, managing and monitoring reproductive health in your large animals, including:

  • Obstetrics procedures
  • Herd reproduction evaluations and management consultations 
  • Palpations to determine pregnancy and reproductive status

  In addition to these services, our veterinarians are able to conduct bovine semen evaluations to assess the virility of your head sire and help ensure that breeding season in your herd is productive.

• Can you treat hoof issues in cattle?

  Yes, we have a hydraulic cattle foot trimming chute on-site. If one or more of your cattle are suffering from lameness caused by an abscess in their foot, from long hoof or from a number of other health issues affecting their feet, we can use this chute to help.

  Using our hydraulic foot trimming chute, we roll cattle onto their sides in order to safely treat their health problems with minimal discomfort.

  Our veterinarians offer a host of services for our farm animal patients. These include:

  • Calf hernia repairs
  • Castrations
  • C-sections on cows/goats
  • Dehornings
  • Growth removals

• Can you provide health certificates?

  When moving animals across state lines, or internationally, a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) is required. Our vets are certified to provide health certificates for farm animals.

  • All animal(s) must be inspected by a veterinarian within the last 10 days to issue CVI.
  • CVI is valid for 30 days from the date of animal inspection.
  • Additional testing or criteria may be required by individual states or events. It is important that you verify this prior to scheduling your veterinary visit.
  • We require a minimum of two days notice prior to issuing a CVI.
